Athletes of Excellence

Location: The Olde White Barn 21140 Phoenix Lake Rd, Sonora
Come join us for this rare experience to interact with some of the top high-school athletes in our community. Students from Sonora & Summerville High-Schools will be recognized for their exceptional achievements in sports and we will participate in fun, interactive live-interviews with our guests.
We would also like to recognize the awesome support of Sonora Area Foundation and donors who have generously supported the funding of Foundation Sports Park.
We are thrilled to announce that we have moved into phase 2 construction. Which will include the Irving J. Symon Sports Pavilion and multi-use field. We look forward to seeing you there!
Who We Are
Founded in 1998, YSF was established as a 501c3 non-profit to expand play opportunities for Tuolumne County youth through the renovation and creation of play spaces, facilities and sport fields.
Notably, YSF has led projects to renovate Cassina High School’s baseball/softball fields, remediate elementary school playgrounds and fields, provide equipment to leagues, and promote local youth sports program establishment.
In January 2021, YSF’s Board underwent a generational torch pass, with an entire new leadership team with a renewed yet consistent focus on benefiting local youth through sport.
